Moalboal Beach Resort

MOALBOAL Beach Resort
Reminiscing Summer 2014 pt1

A partially planned escapade that’s worth the long exhausting drive. We’re from Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, and in order to reach our destination, MOALBOAL Beach Resort, we have to cross the sea from Sibulan Port to Liloan, Santander Cebu Port.
And from there, we have to travel approximately 70 kilometers to reach the area. Google map says, an hour and twenty eight minute drive (1hr and 28 mins) without traffic but it took us almost 3 hours via motorcycle. Maybe, a different story when in a bus. But where’s the fun in that? Motorcycle could take you to other places before reaching your destination! In our end, a few little side trips did happen, KAWASAN FALLS AND LAMBUG BEACH which is shown in another post.

Moalboal just amazed me with its beauty. I was in awe when I stepped in to its almost powdery white sand. It's still undeveloped but it has attracted a lot of tourists of different nationality. A much less crowded beach though which made it even more relaxing to stay and enjoy. And the water, you just can't help but dive in right away.

I can’t exactly remember the breakdown of expenses we have incurred but we did find a cheaper way to enjoy our Overnight stay! (Bracketing the expenses just to give you an estimate)

Motorcycle gasoline – Php150 (back & forth and other side trips along the way)
Cottage – Php600-750,
But we have a Tent of our own (Some side store owners have tents for rent though)
TENTS for Rent:
Medium size (good for 2) – Php200-250/night
Large size (Good for 4) – Php300-400/night
We bought our own food from/drinks Moalboal Market – Php400-600
Volleyball - (unknown)
And some Fun!
The resort has few other amenities as well!
