Salagdoong Beach

Salagdoong Beach
Maria, Siquijor
#BestSummerSoFar
One of the most visited attraction in Siquijor Island where tourists can enjoy its mesmerizing, jaw-dropping, and eye-filling view of the beach and the Rock-Coral formation on one side surrounding it in a U-shaped form. I think anyone who’d go on a summer vaca in Siquijor should never miss to drop by and enjoy the experience this beach has to offer. One experience I will never forget is its cliff diving. It has two levels, the first at approximately 30ft high and the second at 42ft high. I tried both and trust me, nothing is more terrifying than just seeing the water below and the idea of jumping in that clear water, seeing its clear white sand –It surely gave me the chills. At first I was hesitant to jump, having the fear of heights, but I can’t waste the opportunity of being there already and so I did it - I jumped. Success! :)) The 42ft high level was somewhat like a near to death

Sumilon Island

Sumilon Island

The refreshing whip of the wind; The scorching heat of the sun; The panoramic view of Cebu and Dumaguete; The different colors of green of the mountainous islands, and The different shades of blue of the ocean which you can see from afar. That’s how beautiful of an island Sumilon is for me so far yet.

There are TWO ways for you to get there:

Aguinid Falls

Aguinid Falls, Falls Hopping #2

After Tumalog Falls, this Waterfall was next on my list. But unlike the first, going to Samboan, Cebu was not as easy as going to Oslob where buses continuously pass by. For me to get to Samboan, I had to go back to Liloan Port, ride a motorcycle and drop off at the bus terminal. Surprisingly, there were no buses yet for Samboan and I had to wait for almost an hour before heading off. Upon arrival at the drop off point, which only took about 20-30 minutes, the waterfall was just a walk away from the highway.

Tumalog Falls

Tumalog Falls ,Falls hopping #1
" That moment when the wind hits the fresh falling water, and drizzles through the air..."

Since it’s 2015, I decided to try a new adventure -- Waterfalls hopping! The first Waterfall that came out of my research was Tumalog Falls in Oslob, Cebu. Great! Just close to the most visited spot/tourist attraction in Oslob -- Whale Watching. Coming from Dumaguete, I have to cross the sea from Sibulan Port to Liloan Port. From there, ride a bus at 15 kms approximate distance and from the highway to the Falls at about 3 kms uphill (I asked). A habal-habal or motorcycle will bring you there, but they’ll have to drop you off at the entrance, unless if you pay additional fare to bring you near the waterfall – It’s only about 500 meters far so walking would do.
